Handmade custom model of Salyut 6 space station with docked Soyuz T spacecraft, created by NPO Energia. A beautifully-detailed metal and resin model measuring an overall 29.5" x 5" x 7" including wooden base, the model features the familiar cylindrical Salyut configuration in cream and green livery with rectangular solar arrays, together with a single green Soyuz-T spacecraft attached to the forward port.
The model signed by cosmonaut Beregovoy.
A finely detailed Soviet presentation model depicting the Salyut-6 orbital station with a docked Soyuz-T4 series spacecraft, produced to commemorate the joint Soyuz-T4 / Soyuz-40 mission of May 1981, the final crewed operation of the Salyut-6 program. The base plaque attached to the wooden stand commemorates the historic dual-docking period when both craft were attached to Salyut-6, symbolizing the station's final active mission and the closing of the Interkosmos cooperative program.
