Sich-1 is the first Ukrainian Earth observation satellite and was launched on 31 August 1995 by Ukrainian Cyclone 3 rocket from Plesetsk (Russia)

The satellite's tasks are mainly weather and environmental monitoring. Sich is a national Ukrainian system of Earth observation which is being developed in accordance with National Space Program. The Sich system is intended for receiving routine data on the Earth in optical, infrared and microwave spectral ranges and acquisition and transmission of data from on ground platforms. The Sich satellite (original) has the following characteristics: weight-1950 kg, orbital altitude-650 km, inclination of orbit-82.5 deg.

The height of the model is 13 inches. Only a limited number of these handmade models were produced and presented to officials of Uzmash and the National Ukrainian Space Agency.
