Protocol No.47

Objet of experiment: Connector of glove “Krechet” No. 1211

Purpose of experiment: Resource tests of the hermetic connector according to the program No. S-21-891 from November 13, 1968.

Methods of experiments: After every 25 cycles (i.e., removing and putting on the glove) conducted the tightness of the glove connector at R=0,2kg/cm^2, R=0,4 kg/cm^2, R=0.6kg/cm^2 by immersing the connector in a bath with alcohol. The appearance of air bubbles in the rubber seal determined the tightness of the connector. Visual inspection of the vent was performed after each cycle.

Results of experiments: As a result of resource tests there was a rupture of the lock belt at the place of cross-linking (after 700 cycles)

During the tests on the surfaces of rubbing parts, the protective layer of the coating was erased and the surface layer of the metal was removed insignificantly.

After 400 cycles on the rubber lobe, as a result of the destruction of the protective coating of the metal, a sharply pronounced dark raid appeared, which does not affect the operability of the connector. After 2000 cycles, leakage of the glove connector appeared, the leakage was 1 cm ^ 3 per minute.

After 2375 cycles there was a rush of the rubber lobe of the seal of the connector.

Conclusion: Clamp connector after 2500 cycles without change.
