MAXIM LITVINOV (1876-1951). Russian revolutionary and diplomat.  Soviet ambassador to the League of Nations and to the United States during World War II when he contributed to the Lend Lease Agreement of 1941. He was critical in bringing the Soviet Union out of post-revolutionary isolation, often disagreeing with Stalin's policies.  Document signed on official letterhead with the stamp of Commissariat of Foreign Affairs of USSR, 1p. oblong 8vo., Moscow, 1925, an identification document issued by the People's Commissariat of Foreign Trade. Very good condition.
