General N. Kamanin who was the head of cosmonaut training in Soviet space program and choose the first human to enter the space also wrote a note to his brother:

"Dear brother! I have my part in preparation of Gagarin's flight and this book. Let this Gagarin's book remind you about our victories in Space the importance of which will be growing by each year. N. Kamanin 24.8.61"
